Boyce A. Gresham, 81, of Myrtle, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2013.
He was born Jan. 2, 1932, to Tommy Lee and Mary Benefield Gresham. He graduated from Myrtle High School and worked most of his life as a much sought after painter and finishing carpenter. Even more well known as a superb sportsman, he was a bird dog trainer, hunter and fisherman. When he was not working or enjoying the outdoors, he was an avid reader, who kept the local library busy. He was a Baptist.
Services were at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at United Funeral Home in New Albany with Bro. Jason Howell officiating. Burial was in Gerizim Cemetery in Myrtle. United Funeral Service of New Albany was in charge of the arrangements.
He is survived by one sister-in-law, Bobbie Gresham Rhea; and nephews and nieces, including Lee McAllister, Linda Tapp, Bonnie Davidson, Kathy Mitchell, Gary Gresham and Bill Gresham; a host of great-nieces and great-nephews; and two special friends, Tommie McNutt and Jimmy Snyder.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tommy and Mary Gresham; two brothers, Leroy Gresham and Travis Gresham; and two sisters, Thelma McAllister and Bertha Gresham.
