Described as the ultimate team player, the New Albany Gazette honors Myrtle’s Ben Paist for his efforts on the court for the Hawks this season.
“Ben is a great kid who bought into everything I’m trying to do here,” Myrtle coach Cliff Ormon said. “He did all of the little things that you would expect a senior to do, making the extra effort and set the tone for us. He was the first on the floor, always willing to step up into whatever role we asked him to do. He’s the ultimate team player, and he didn’t have to be that by scoring the most points. He’s done so much to lead us in other areas.”
Paist survived a serious automobile accident in Myrtle last week and has motivated many people with his uplifting spirit, given the situation.
We continue to pray for Ben in his recovery process.
