Northeast-Northwest chosen as ‘Game of the Week’

Northeast Mississippi Community College’s North Division encounter with Northwest will be the ‘Game of the Week’ for the fifth week of the regular season.
Thursday’s affair will mark the first time that Northeast has been featured as the ‘Game of the Week’ since the inception of in early 2010.’s ‘Game of the Week” has been the marquee matchup between high caliber teams each week and the ‘Game of the Week’ has not disappointed. opened the season with a rematch of the 2009 Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) State Championship Game that ended in a 75-71 shootout against Mississippi Gulf Coast and East Mississippi.
A showdown between Northwest and East Central appeared during the second week of the season while Gulf Coast made its second appearance as the Game of the Week when the Bulldogs took on Jones County.
Week four’s ‘Game of the Week’ proved to be the showcase as Mississippi Delta Community College and Hinds Community College battled into overtime with Hinds finally coming out on top.
