The New Albany Gazette, along with most businesses and all governmental offices, will close Friday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day.
The closing has affected the newspaper publication schedule and moved ad and news deadlines earlier.
As of presstime today, all ad and news deadlines for this week have passed.
The Wednesday paper was to be distributed in the mail Wednesday as usual but the Friday paper will be distributed in the mail Thursday.
City solid-waste pickup will change due to the holiday also with both Thursday and Friday, July 3 and 4 routes, being picked up Thursday.
In the county, the only change will be for the Friday route, which will be collected Wednesday, July 2, instead.
