New Albany reaches a new milestone next week as movers and shakers in business and development from all over the state converge on our city for a two-day conference.
More than 100 people from out of town are expected Tuesday and Wednesday to attend the Mississippi Conference on Business and Entrepreneur Development, hosted by the New Albany Main Street Association.
It’s a huge opportunity to show off our city as well as provide a boost to our hospitality industry. Attendees will stay at local hotels and attend meetings at the Magnolia Civic Center.
Local caterers will do a reception and lunch at the In Bloom Event Hall. Tuesday night attendees will go out to dinner in local restaurants.
A walking tour of downtown is on the agenda for Tuesday afternoon and downtown merchants are providing discount coupons.
We congratulate Vickie Duke, New Albany Main Street manager, and Jan Miller, regional manager for Main Street, for pulling off this major coup for New Albany.
