The Lady Eagles picked up two big wins earlier this week to improve to 3-2 on the season.
In Monday’s 65-35 win over Blue Mountain, Julianna Garner led the Lady Eagles with 22 points, scoring seven points in the first quarter, helping West Union jump out to an early 20-5 lead.
Garner put the Lady Eagles ahead by 20 in the second quarter, but the Lady Cougars cut the lead to 15, 29-14. That was the closest Blue Mountain would get before the half, with West Union leading 44-16 at the break.
After Garner’s 22 points, Samantha Bridges had 10 points and savannah Shirley had eight points in the first half.
West Union’s Tuesday win over Tupelo Christian Prep, 75-27, improves the Lady Eagles’ record to 3-2.

Chase Taylor had 13 points to lead the Eagles in a Monday loss to Blue Mountain.
The Cougars jumped to a 21-10 lead after the first quarter behind nine points from Jacob Girley. Hunter Jennings helped the Eagles get back into the game, cutting the deficit to six points, 37-31, early in the third.
West Union picked up a win over Tupelo Christian Prep on Tuesday, 84-53, to improve to 2-3 on the season.
