Bodies discovered during investigation of missing Tennessee family

Local, state and federal law enforcement agencies continued their investigation into the discovery of two bodies discovered Friday in the Alpine Community.

Agents with the Mississippi and Tennessee Bureau of Investigations have released a statement that the two bodies were discovered while executing a search warrant in the area.

Authorities executed the search warrant while investigating the disappearance and possible abduction of a Hardeman County, Tenn. mother and her three children.

JoAnne Bain, along with her daughters, Adrienne, Alexandria and Kyliyah, were last seen together on April 27 in their county of residence.

Authorities have issued kidnapping warrants for Guntown resident Adam Mayes, who was last seen Tuesday, May 1 and is considered to be armed and extremely dangerous.

Mayes has a Highway 9 address.

JoAnne Bain is described as a white female with brown hair and brown eyes.  She is five feet tall and weighs 130 pounds. Adrienne Bain has brown hair and brown eyes, is approximately five feet, four inches tall and weighs 129 pounds. Alexandria has brown hair and hazel eyes, stands five feet tall and weighs 105 pounds. Kyliyah has blonde hair and brown eyes, stands four feet tall and weighs 57 pounds.

Investigators have not ruled out the possibility that the Bain family may be with Mayes, who has brown hair and blue eyes, is six feet, three inches tall and weighs 175 pounds. It is possible that Mayes has already altered his appearance by modifying his hair and may also have cut and died the children’s hair.

Investigators said the five of them may be headed to Arizona or other parts of Mississippi. According to law enforcement, Mayes also has connections in Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida.
