On Dec. 3rd the annual Friendship Baptist Church’s Women’s Ornament swap will be held at the home of Kay Finley.
The children of Friendship Baptist Church will have their Christmas party, Dec. 4 from 2 to 5 p.m.
On Thursday, Dec. 9 the WOF Ornament Swap will be held at he home of Kay Davis at 6:30 p.m.
Friendship’s Lightbearers will have their Christmas Party at Kirk’s Grill at 5 p.m. Each person will bring a White Elephant gift.
The Community Christmas Service will be held this year at Ecru Baptist Church on Sunday night, Dec. 5.
Friendship Baptist Church will present their Christmas Cantata on Sunday, at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. and on Monday night at 7 p.m.
Congratulations to Jade Dearman who was elected by faculty and staff on both the Fulton and Tupelo campuses to Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. This was based on her academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extra curricular activities and potential for continued success. Jade will be featured in the Itawamba Community College’s 2011 edition of the Mirror, the College yearbook.
Congratulations to Ethel Grant who has been chosen to be the Grand Marshal for Ecru’s Christmas Parade. She and her husband Junior Grant, owned and operated the Trolley Café in Ecru for years. Each year they and their children and grand-children decorated the Grant’s home with thousands of lights and each year they won the “Best Lights” Award. Junior Grant passed away about two years ago and is sorely missed.
