Bobby and Frankie Roberts of New Albany, Miss. annoucne the engagement of their daughter Emily, to Clay Forman, the son of Mike and Sandy Forbis of Memphis, Tenn. and the late Tom Forman of Proctor, Ark.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Roger and Estene Alexander and Wayne and Ann Roberts, all of New Albany.
Miss Roberts is an honors graduate of New Albany High School and attended Mississippi State University where she graduated cum Laude from the College of Architecture, Art, and Design with a degree in Interior Design. While attending college, she was a member of the American Society for Interior Designers, Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, and Delta Gamma Sorority.
She is the owner and operator of MODA, a clothing boutique, gift shop, interior design and wedding design studio in New Albany.
The prospective bridegroom is from West Memphis, Ark. and is the grandson of Leroy and Minnie Conrad of Truman, Ark., and Virginia Forman and the late Bill Forman of Proctor, Ark. and the late Ailene Forbis of Marion, Ark.
Mr. Forman graduated from Calvary Baptist Academy in West Memphis. He then pursued a career in construction in his family-owned business, F & F Construction in Memphis. He currently works as a project manager where he oversees projects for national companies. He has been involved in the humanitarian aid organization People for Caring and Learning and has worked in Cambodia for the organization.
An outdoor sunset wedding will be held on September 25, 2010 at 6 p.m. at the home of Sam and Warner Creekmore in New Albany; in case of rain, the ceremony will be held at Hillcrest Baptist Church. A reception will be held at the location of the Creekmore residence as well.
Family and friends are invited.
The couple will honeymoon in Turks and Caicos and upon their return, they will reside in New Albany.
