Jimel Judon had 24 points, as the Hawks held off a comeback by the Bulldogs, 66-58 Friday night.
Malcolm Spears opened the game for New Albany with a three-pointer, but Myrtle was led by four points from Judon, David Wilson and Beau Cummings, giving the Hawks the 14-9 lead after the first.
Will Gregory sparked the Hawks in the second with two three-pointers, but New Albany held close, going on a 6-0 run after going down 19-11.
Both Judon and Wilson had nine fourth quarter points, while While Spears had nine for the ‘Dawgs.
Myrtle also defeated Houlka, 66-56 Saturday night to remain undefeated.
Myrtle 16 (girls)
The Lady Bulldogs took advantage of key injuries for the Lady Hawks, as they routed Myrtle 65 to 16 Friday night.
Nyambi Penson opened with a three for New Albany, while Rhagan Hopper scored the only Myrtle basket soon after, as NAHS had a 21-2 lead after the first.
The Lady Hawks never scored over 10 points in any of the frames, as Jazmine Spears led New Albany with 17. Micha Washington also had 12 for the Lady Bulldogs. Hopper had nine points to lead Myrtle.
The Lady Hawks did pick up a 50-49 win over Houlka Saturday night.
