Services for Braxton set for Sunday

Members of the New Albany and Union County community will have the opportunity to join together and remember 17-year-old Marshuan Braxton during a public service Sunday.

The New Albany Middle School will play host to memorial services for Braxton at 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 28, 2009.  Rev. Amanda Gordon of the First United Methodist Church of New Albany.

Braxton, who would have been a senior at New Albany High School in the coming school year, died after being swept into the Pacific Ocean Sunday off the coast of Costa Rica.

Survivors include his grandmother/legal guardian Elnora Howell of New Albany, his parents Delilah Colyer and her husband Timothy and seven sisters and two brothers, Carl Richardson, Alexis Braxton, Nicole Colyer, Karen Esken (Damain), Patricia Colyer, Aubrey Braxton, Mariah Waldrop, Tammy Peaches, Elias Colyer.

Beasley Funeral home is handling arrangements.
