Milisa Lawrence of Baldwyn is proud to announce the engagement and forthcoming wedding of her daughter, Alisa Danielle Lawrence to John Andrew Charlwood, son of David and Martha Charlwood and the late Annise Pounds Charlwood, all of Baldwyn.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Wayne and Edith Holmes of Baldwyn and Cecil and Vivian Payne of Tupelo.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Sara Pounds of Booneville, Truett and Evelyn Pannell of Blue Springs and Knowles and Bettie Charlwood of Baldwyn.
Miss Lawrence is a 2005 graduate of Tupelo High School. She is currently attending Northeast Mississippi Community College working toward a degree in Elementary Education and works at Omars Restaurant in Tupelo. She is a past member of the Lee County Saddle Club and Ropes and Reins 4-H Club where she exhibited horses on the county, district and state levels for 14 years. She was an active member of the Lee County 4-H where she competed on state winning Meats, Hippology and Horse Judging Teams. She was a county and state awareness team, a state horse resume winner and represented Mississippi in the meats contest at the Western National Roundup in Denver, Colorado.
Mr. Charlwood is a 2003 graduate of East Union Attendance Center. He attended Northeast Mississippi Community College and currently is a senior at the University of Mississippi, majoring in Criminal Justice and an electrician with Jeffs Electric Service in Tupelo. He is a member of the varsity baseball team, student council and president of Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He received the American Legion Citizen Award and is a member of the Mississippi National Guard and served in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
The couple will exchange vows at 1 p.m. on January 5, 2007 at Ellistown Baptist Church.
Rev. Mike Powell will officiate the ceremony.
A reception will immediately following the ceremony in the fellowship hall.
All family and friends are invited.
